I offer therapeutic and relaxing massage, creating each session intuitively and skillfully to meet the specific needs of each unique client. Whether you are looking to reduce stress, relieve pain or are recovering from an injury, my nurturing and grounding touch will melt away tension in your body. You will feel balanced, harmonized and at ease in body, mind and spirit. I work therapeutically to address specific areas of the body that may be causing you pain or are in recovery from an injury. With several years of experience, my extensive knowledge and understanding of the muscles and their interrelations allows me to effectively aid your body in it's healing process. The modalities I incorporate into a session can include Sweedish, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Connective Tissue Therapy, Accupressure and Shiatsu techniques, Reflexology, Craniosacral Therapy, movement and stretching, and Reiki.
Craniosacral Therapy is a subtle, non-intrusive treatment, which invites the bodies’ natural healing response. By using a light and gentle touch, the practitioner allows space for the client’s body to unwind and release tension stored in tissue memory. This mysterious system has profound effects on the central nervous system, benefiting the whole person- body, mind and spirit. The bodies’ own self-healing and self-regulating capabilities are greatly enhanced by this work.
This profound work has shown remarkable results for newborns. The gentle approach corrects any subtle misalignment of cranial bones and releases any restrictions in the soft tissue to relieve newborns from common discomforts and pains associated with the birthing process. Breastfeeding problems, colic and reflux are a few common reasons to bring your baby for a session.
Working one-on-one is a great way to create a solid foundation for a healthy yoga practice. Private sessions will help to deepen your practice giving you valuable tools to apply to your home practice and in yoga classes.
